Illinois State hits the road to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes Sunday, in their final match before returning for a four-game homestand. The Hawkeyes and Redbirds are set to kick off at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Iowa Soccer Complex.

Iowa – What You Need to Know
The Hawkeyes are 3-0 on the season with wins over Western Michigan, UNI, and most recently on Thursday night, Iowa State. The 2-1 victory over the Cyclones included goals from senior Natalie Winters and sophomore Jenny Cape. Senior goalkeeper Claire Graves has spent every minute in goal this season for the Hawkeyes, making six saves and allowing two goals.
Head coach Dave Dilanni is entering his sixth season with the Iowa program.
Illinois State vs. Iowa
The all-time series between the Redbirds and Hawkeyes is tied, 1-1. Iowa defeated Illinois State with a 1-0 decision when they last met in the regular season in 2002.
Last Time Out
Illinois State dropped its second game of the year at Ball State on Thursday evening, conceding the game-winning goal in the 84th minute. The Redbirds struggled to maintain possession in the first half, but fought back and outshot the Cardinals 7-5 after halftime. Haley Smith made four saves in goal, staving off many Cardinal attacks and helping keep the Redbirds in the game. Megan McEachern, Sarah LaFayette, and Alix McArthur all recorded shots on goal for Illinois State.
