The Illinois State baseball coaching staff has set a date for a one-day Redbird Baseball Prospect Camp, as announced by head coach Steve Holm on Thursday morning. The camp will be held at Duffy Bass Field on Sunday, Oct. 6. The day will be split into a position player and pitcher portion.
Registration for position players will take place from 7:30-8 a.m., with the camp running until 10 a.m. Registration for pitchers is set for 9:30 a.m., with the pitching session running until noon.
The program's high school prospect camps are open to 9th-12th graders and are great opportunities to be instructed and seen by the coaching staff at Illinois State. Each session will consist of position-specific instruction and informational sessions about strength training and NCAA rules. This camp is designed for serious high school players who want to find out what it takes to play at the collegiate level.
