NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State swimming and diving team is set to host Missouri Valley Conference rival UNI on Saturday for its home finale at Horton Pool. The 16-event format is set to begin at 12 p.m. with the 200-medley relay and live results are available through the Meet Mobile app.
Senior Day
Fans are encouraged to arrive at Horton Pool by 11:45 a.m. to celebrate the program's seven seniors. ISU will recognize Emma Butts, Janise Everest, Kierston Farley-Sepe, Lexie Hardewig, Rachel Johnston, Jensen Keck and Katie Tillotson in a brief ceremony on the pool deck prior to the meet.
Scouting the Redbirds
Illinois State closes out its home schedule against the Panthers on Saturday. The Redbirds are coming off a tough test against mid-major powerhouses Florida Gulf Coast, Liberty and Tulane. Senior Jensen Keck was named the MVC Swimmer of the Week on Monday for her success at the meet on Jan. 4, turning in ISU's top overall finish at the event.
Scouting the Panthers
UNI is headed to Western Illinois on Friday evening, before traveling to Normal to take on the Redbirds on Saturday. The Panthers are 9-3 this season in duals with all three losses coming against Big Ten opponents. Four different Panthers have won MVC weekly honors, as Katie Taylor has been tabbed Valley Swimmer of the Week twice.
