NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State Athletics has announced its launching a partnership with Stacked Sports to provide the department with efficient text and social media messaging platforms to more efficiently communicate with fans, donors, ticket holders and students.
"We've built an extremely efficient tool for distributing messages via text and social media, for the purpose of recruiting. Expanding into marketing and development within athletic administration are new verticals for us and we look forward to now serving an entire athletic department, not just coaches," Ben Graves, Stacked Sports Founder and CEO said. "This was a move that just made sense for our company as the main points when communicating with recruits, donors, and fans are very similar. As a former Redbird, I'm extremely excited to assist Illinois State Athletics in their communication strategy as we grow in this partnership together."
Stacked Sports was founded in 2014 and works with more than 55 Division I athletic departments, providing cutting-edge text message and social media technologies. Since September 1, 2020, Stacked Sports users have started over 135,000 conversations via their technology; saving those organizations hundreds of hours of time in the process and making meaningful dialogue more convenient for the end user. The company is not only owned by former Redbird football Graves, but former Redbird All-American Chris Highland and ISU Athletics Percy Family Hall of Famer Tim Glover also work for the company.
"We know that most of our fans utilize text messaging every day. We want to conveniently send them unique content, specific offers, and breaking news directly to their fingertips in the form of personalized texts," ISU Athletics Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing Zach Schroeder stated. "We hope text messaging in this way is value added and a way that fans can feel more connected to our teams and student-athletes as a result."
Fans can expect to receive personalized text messages for various reasons such as exclusive content, game schedule changes and updates as well as ticket promotions and major announcements.
