NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State Basketball Coaches Shows presented by Bud Light, featuring Illinois State men's basketball head coach Dan Muller and women's basketball head coach Kristen Gillespie will air tonight. Fans can listen live on WJBC 1230-AM or on GoRedbirds.com, as Muller and Gillespie recap their 2020-21 seasons so far and preview upcoming match-ups.
The Kristen Gillespie Show, hosted by Greg Halbleib, starts tonight at 6 p.m. Gillespie will be joined by redshirt sophomore guard Mary Crompton. Crompton has led the Redbirds in scoring in each of the first two games, totaling 14 points in Sunday afternoon's win over Western Illinois and a career-high 20 points in ISU's season opener versus Saint Xavier. The women's basketball team (2-0) is looking to schedule a few more opponents in the coming weeks before opening conference play at home versus Valparaiso on Jan. 1.
The Dan Muller Show follows at 7 p.m., hosted by Dick Luedke and Mike Matthews. Muller will be joined by junior forward Dusan Mahorcic. Mahorcic went 7-of-10 from the field in Saturday's game at Ball State, posting a double-double with 14 points and a season-high 13 rebounds in his first ever start. The men's basketball team (2-3) will host Chicago State at Redbird Arena on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in its non-conference finale.
