BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois State Basketball Coaches Shows, featuring Illinois State head women's basketball coach Kristen Gillespie and associate head men's basketball coach Brian Jones will air tonight live from Hy-Vee Market Grille in Bloomington. Fans unable to attend the show can listen live on WJBC 1230-AM or on GoRedbirds.com, as Gillespie and Jones recap the past week of Missouri Valley Conference play and preview upcoming match-ups.
The Kristen Gillespie Show, hosted by Greg Halbleib, starts tonight at 6 p.m. Gillespie will be joined by player guest Frannie Corrigan. Corrigan, a senior from La Grange, Illinois, is a four-year member of the women's basketball team and will be honored at Sunday's game for Senior Day. The women's basketball team (15-10, 7-7 MVC) will host its final home games of the year this week, with No. 18/23 Missouri State visiting Redbird Arena on Thursday night and Southern Illinois making the trip for Sunday afternoon.
The Dan Muller Show follows at 7 p.m., hosted by Dick Luedke and Mike Matthews. Associate head coach Brian Jones will be filling in for head coach Dan Muller while he is on the recruiting trail. Jones will be joined by player guest Antonio Reeves, who averaged 14.0 points in a pair of games last week, including four triples and seven rebounds in Saturday's win at home over Drake. The men's basketball team (9-19, 4-12 MVC) enters the final week of the regular season, hosting I-74 rival Bradley at Redbird Arena on Wednesday and making the trip to Evansville on Saturday.
