Redbirds Fall 80-60 On Road at Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Antonio Reeves scored a career-high 17 points while Jaycee Hillsman scored 16, as the Illinois State Redbirds dropped a road game at Missouri State by an 80-60 final score.

How it Happened

The Redbirds 3-1 led early after a DJ Horne three-point basket, before Missouri State answered by scoring the next nine points to take a 10-3 lead, and the Redbirds were unable to re-capture the lead the rest of the way. Illinois State got three consecutive baskets from Reeves to climb within six, but a 7-0 Bear run pushed the margin back to double-digits, as Missouri State took a 42-26 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Missouri State started the second half on an 11-3 run, with the Redbirds' points during that span coming on a Zach Copeland three-pointer a minute into the half. The Redbirds would get no closer than 21 the rest of the way as the Bears cruised to the 20-point win.

Key Moment
