Redbird Football Signs 3; Adds Five Walk-ons To 2020 Class

NORMAL, Ill. – ISU head coach Brock Spack and his staff announced new additions to the 2020 Illinois State football signing class Wednesday, as three student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent on National Signing Day and five walk-ons were added to the roster. 

Among the new signees are offensive linemen Daniel Forystek (Green Bay, Wisconsin) and Hunter Zambrano (Weston, Florida) and defensive back Robert Parker-Crawford (Tallahassee, Florida). A total of five walk-ons were also announced as additions to the 2020 recruiting class, which grows to 20 in total with a FBS mid-transfer in linebacker Shanon Reid.

Justin Bromagen | OL | 6-5 | 285 | Farmersville, Ohio (Valley View HS)
Valley View HS: Four-year starter during prep career … did not allow a sack during his final season … earned all-league, all-district and third-team all-state honors while serving as a team captain as a senior … helped team to an 8-2 regular season and make it to the regional championship game for the first time in 15 seasons … missed his junior season due to injury … as a sophomore, started on the offensive line with four seniors to make up the varsity front … team went 10-0 during the regular season and made it to the playoffs. Two-year starter during prep career … versatile athlete on the gridiron, serving as the team's long snapper, defensive end and tight end starting on both offense and defense … was a top-12 invitee at the Rubio Long Snapping camp, earning a 4.5 star ranking and a No. 42 ranking nationally … earned all-conference honors at defensive end and tight end as a senior, while serving as a team captain … during junior season, earned all-conference honors at defensive end while helping Pontiac to a spot in the IHSA state playoffs … was a special teams starter as a sophomore, helping the team to a playoff appearance … also played varsity basketball and was a four-year letterwinner in track & field. Three-year varsity starter … caught 39 passes for 745 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior from fellow Redbird recruit Jackson Waring … averaged 19.1 yards per catch and also rushed for 185 yards and six touchdowns … earned first-team all-conference honors and was named an honorable mention all-state pick … as a junior, caught 31 passes for 471 yards (15.2 yards per catch) and six touchdowns, while running for 280 yards and the three scores as well in third prep season … earned first-team all-district honors and was a team captain that season … also a standout in basketball and track. Rashad Lampkin | RB | 5-10 | 190 | Brookfield, Wisconsin (Brookfield Central HS)

Three-year varsity standout … as a senior, rushed for 1,570 yards and 22 touchdowns while earning honorable mention all-state honors … also earned second-team all-region and first-team all-conference honors while helping team to a conference title … named the conference offensive player of the year, averaging over 140 yards per game on the ground … accumulated 2,217 yards and 30 touchdowns as a junior on way to first-team all-region and all-state honors … set the school record for yards and touchdowns in a season … helped team to a state runner-up finish in record-setting season … during sophomore season, recorded 593 yards and eight touchdowns while earning second-team all-conference honors and helping team to the state finals. Robert Parker-Crawford | DB | 6-1 | 175 | Tallahassee, Florida (Maclay HS)
Maclay HS:
Named a First Team All-Big Bend conference selection as a senior, while playing wide receiver and in the defensive backfield … in three varsity three seasons, accumulated 127 catches for 2,563 yards and 38 touchdowns and rushed for 801 yards with 12 touchdowns … on defense,  contributed 164 tackles and six interceptions at defensive back with another 12 touchdowns across defense and special teams as a returner … in addition to a 60-touchdown career, the three-time Tallahassee Quarterback Club Receiver of the Year was one of just two Class of 2020 selections named to the Tallahassee All-Decade Team … also a 1,000 point scorer on the basketball court a state qualifier in track.

In 2019, played in four games before entering the transfer portal … set a new career-high in tackles with seven against Chattanooga (9/14) and appeared in the season opener against Georgia State, four tackles (8/31) … as sophomore in 2018, made nine appearances as a reserve linebacker and on special teams, closing out the year out with five tackles … played in seven games as a true freshman in 2017… made collegiate debut against Indiana State and tallied his first career tackle, a solo stop, at Alabama. Darius Walker | LB | 6-2 | 220 | Fairview Heights, Illinois (East St. Louis HS)

Started final season at East St. Louis, after playing first three seasons at Althoff Catholic … had 149 tackles and five sacks in senior season, while earning all-conference honors … averaged nearly 11 tackles per game and helped lead team to a perfect 14-0 record and a state championship … East St. Louis finished with a No. 17 national prep ranking … recorded 99 tackles as a junior at Althoff Catholic, earning all-city MVP honors and all-conference plaudits … as a sophomore, had 32 total tackles.
