TAMPA, Fla. – The Illinois State softball team fell 10-2 in six innings on Saturday night to Georgia State in its finale of the USF-Rawlings Invitational.

BY THE NUMBERS / KEY INNINGS
- Mack Leonard's bat stayed hot, as the sophomore launched a lead-off home run in the top of the first – her second long ball of the weekend.
- Georgia State responded in the first, third and fourth innings, taking an 8-1 lead at the mid-way point of the game.
- A triple by Leonard in the fifth, followed by a double by Emme Olson, helped the Redbirds cut into the Panthers' lead, but Georgia State scratched two more across in the sixth to take the game 10-2.
ON DECK
For the 30th-consecutive season, Illinois State will take flight to Tempe, Arizona, to compete in the Littlewood Classic, hosted by Arizona State, Feb. 14-16. The Redbirds will face four 2019 NCAA Tournament teams – Arizona State, Boise State, Kentucky and Detroit Mercy.
