NORMAL, Ill. – The 49th class of the Illinois State Athletics Percy Family Hall of Fame was enshrined Saturday morning at a ceremony conducted inside the Brown Ballroom at the Bone Student Center during 2021 Homecoming festivities at ISU.
The 2021 Illinois State Athletics Percy Family Hall of Fame class was inducted, as Stafford Davis (football), two-time All-American and four-time all-conference selection; Andi Hardwick (volleyball), 1996 MVC Player of the Year and three-time all-conference pick; Todd Schroeder (baseball), two-time all-conference performer and school single-season record holder; Sade Sealy (track & field), three-time MVC Most Outstanding Track Athlete and 11-time MVC individual champion; and Rachel Tejada (soccer), four-time MVC Player of the Year and school record holder, officially became members of the Illinois State Athletics Percy Family Hall of Fame.
In addition to the 2021 Hall of Fame class, Dan Roan, a 1976 graduate of Illinois State and longtime sports director at WGN-TV in Chicago, will be honored with the Institutional Great Award. The honor recognizes an Illinois State alumnus who has achieved significant personal and professional accomplishments in sports at the professional or collegiate levels.Â
Hall of Famer and "Voice of the Redbirds" Dick Luedke served as emcee for the event, which featured remarks and well-wishes from Illinois State University President Dr. Terri Goss Kinzy and ISU Director of Athletics Kyle Brennan. The inductees were celebrated with by fellow Hall-of-Famers, family, friends, former teammates and coaches as they joined the ranks of Illinois State's greatest student-athletes, coaches, administrators and contributors.

Stafford Davis – Football (2001-05)
Four-year starter on the offensive line for the Redbirds, spending time at center and guard … named a member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference Silver Anniversary Team in 2009 … two-time All-MVFC First-Team selection (2004-05) and two-time All-MVFC Second-Team pick (2002-03) … was also selected as an MVC All-Newcomer Team selection in 2002 … two-time MVFC All-Academic team selection (2004-05) … following his senior season, was named a First-Team All-America selection by The Sports Network, the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and The Associated Press … also named a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, often described at the academic Heisman … honored as a 2004 Honorable Mention All-American by College Sports Report … three-time Football Gazette West Region pick (2002-04) … started 46 games on the offensive line to end his career, with the last 11 coming at center … Redbird passing offense ranked No. 1 in the conference in final two season and rushing offense ranked No. 11 nationally in 2003 … Redbirds earned two wins over No. 1 ranked teams during the 2005 season in Southern Illinois and UNI … 2005-06 ISU Milt Weisbecker Male Athlete of the Year … following playing career, went into coaching working at Illinois State, North Central College and Tulsa.
Andi Hardwick – Volleyball (1993-96)
Four-year letterwinner on the Redbird volleyball team … ranks No. 3 in career (.310) and single-season (.360) hitting percentage and No. 9 in career kills per set (3.46) … also ranks No. 12 in career kills (1,308) … was named the 1996 Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year as a senior, one of only eight Redbirds to every achieve that honor … the 1996 team was the first in program history to advance to the second round of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament … was also named to the NAWCAA All-Tournament team in 1996 … First-Team AVCA All-District selection in 1996 and was named the ISU Jill Hutchison Female Athlete of the Year … was a two-time All-MVC First Team selection (1995-96) and earned All-MVC Honorable Mention honors as a sophomore in 1994 … was a three-time State Farm Missouri Valley Conference All-Tournament Team selection (1994-96) and was named the 1996 MVC Tournament MVP, helping the Redbirds win a conference tournament title and earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament … was also a member of the 1993 squad that participated in the NCAA Tournament.
Todd Schroeder – Baseball (1988-91)
Three-year letterwinner for the Redbirds … holds the ISU single-season triples (10) record while ranking fourth in putouts (492) … is also tied for fourth in single-season hits (81) and tied for sixth in doubles (20) ... ranks second in career on-base percentage (.464) after posting the fifth-best season-season mark in 1990 (.487) ... led the Redbirds in batting average and hits two-straight seasons (1990-1991) and paced the team in runs (48) scored in 1991 … was a First-Team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection in 1990, after leading the league in batting (.404), hits (81), and triples (10) ... his triples total ranks as the eighth-best single-season total in conference history and tied for the best mark in NCAA Division I that season … ... his batting average of .404 in 1990 was No. 39 in the nation that year … also earned MVC All-Academic Team honors in 1990  … batted a team-best .352 with seven home runs and 38 RBI as a junior and was named a Second-Team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection ... was selected in the 17th round of the Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1991 and played in the organization for two seasons.
Sade Sealy – Track and Field (2009-13)
Four-year letterwinner for the Redbirds on the track … was an 11-time Missouri Valley Conference Champion, including winning the 400m at the indoor and outdoor MVC meet every year of her career (8 total) … was also a part of three MVC Champion relay squads … earned a total of 21 All-MVC honors, including eight in the 400m and six in the 200m … named the MVC Most Outstanding Track Athlete three times in her career (2011 Indoor, 2013 Indoor, 2013 Outdoor) … was a four-time NCAA West Preliminary Qualifier in the 400m and advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the event as a senior in 2013 … still owns the school record in the 400m indoors (53.62 in 2012) and outdoors (52.01 in 2013) and is also part of the school-record holding distance medley relay team that set the record in 2012 at the prestigious Drake Relays (11:19.74) ... competed in the International Association of Athletics Foundation (IAAF) World Championships following her senior season in 2013 … after switching events from the 400m to the 800m, narrowly missed the podium at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru … holds national records in Barbados in the 800m and the 1500m … still competing, most recently at the Barbados National Championships in June 2021 in the 800m.
Rachel Tejada – Soccer (2011-14)
Only player in Missouri Valley Conference history to be named Conference Player of the Year four times … was also named a four-time All-MVC First Team selection and was as a four-time all-tournament team member … still holds MVC career records for goals (74), assists (42) and points (190) also owns single-season records for goals (21 in 2011) and points (54 in 2014) … finished career No. 25 on all-time NCAA Division I points list … member of three MVC regular-season championship squads and helped the Redbirds win four-consecutive MVC Tournament championships … led team to four NCAA Tournament appearances, helping team to wins in 2013 at Louisville and 2014 at South Florida … holds ISU single-season records in points, assists, shots, and shots on goal … two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District V First-Team pick and 2014 NSCAA Academic All-American Third Team selection … two-time NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region Second Team (2012-13) selection and 2012 Soccer News Net College Boot Award finalist as a sophomore … as a freshman in 2011, became the first player in program history to earn All-America honors when she was named to the Soccer America All-Freshman First Team ... became only the second player in program history to earn NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region First Team honors that season as well … drafted by the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) in 2015.
Dan Roan – Institutional Great
A 1976 graduate of Illinois State, was a teammate of ISU Hall of Famer D.A. Weibring on the Redbird golf team … began his career in 1977 at WCIA-TV in Champaign, Illinois, where he was a sports director for seven years before joining the WGN-TV sports staff in February 1984 … he currently holds the role of weekday sports anchor at 6 and 9 and co-hosts with Jarrett Payton on GN Sports, WGN's nightly 30-minute show at 10:30 p.m. … in over 30 years at WGN, has hosted and co-produced pregame and halftime shows for  NBA and Major League Baseball telecasts and has been a substitute play-by-play announcer for Bulls, Cubs and White Sox games on the station … was also the lead announcer for WGN's telecasts of DePaul basketball and worked play-by-play on the station's Notre Dame football telecasts in 1988, when the fighting Irish won a national championship … has been recognized with numerous awards during his time at WGN, winning multiple Emmy awards for his work as host, producer, reporter, and play-by-play announcer … in 1994, he won three Emmy Awards for sports-related programming … was honored as a 2009-10 Illinois State University College of Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame selection and was inducted into the TV-10 Hall of Fame in 2019 … previously served as an advisory board member of the College of Arts and Sciences Chicago chapter and ISU's School of Communication … most recently was honored with the 2020 Ring Lardner Award for Excellence in Sports Journalism.
