Women's Golf Makes Short Trip for Coyote Creek Classic

BARTONVILLE, Ill. – After a strong tournament where ISU went under 900 strokes for a three-round tournament for the sixth time in program history, the Redbirds return to the course on Saturday and Sunday at the Coyote Creek Classic, hosted by Bradley.

Last Time Out:  Including a second-round 287 - the second-lowest single-round in program history - the Illinois State Redbirds tied for fifth place at the 2021 Johnie Imes Invitational with a three-round 891, the third-best three-round tournament score in team history. Ali Schrock and Avalon Woodward each tied for 11th to lead the squad, carding three-over 219's in the process.

This season:  This season, ISU has four golfers averaging a scoring average of under 75, including 73.0 for Maria Toledo Bailey, 73.5 from Ali Schrock, 74.5 by Avalon Woodward, and 74.8 from Kehler Koss. 

About the Course: Coyote Creek Golf Club is a beautiful 18-hole par 72 championship course. The course was designed by the late Bruce Borland, senior designer for Jack Nicklaus. Bent grass fairways wind through dramatic elevation changes, creating breathtaking scenery. With four bent grass tee boxes to select from, our exceptionally well groomed course will accommodate players of all skill levels.
