ST. LOUIS – For the third time this season, freshman diver Eva Reyes has earned the title of Missouri Valley Conference Diver of the Week after breaking the platform dive school record at the Purdue Invitational last weekend.
Reyes continues to impress meet after meet, breaking the Illinois State school record in the platform dive (5) with a score of 209.15 on the final day of the three-day Purdue Invitational. In her first time competing in the platform dive this season, Reyes broke Caroline Lecoeur's 2019 record of 177.10 by 32.05.
Already having qualified for NCAA Zones in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives, Reyes took seventh in the 1-meter dive finals with a score of 279.50 and took 12th in the 3-meter dive with a score of 228.05. Her best score in the 3-meter dive was in the prelims, however, scoring a 245.80 to advance to the finals.
