NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State softball's scheduled trip to North Alabama this weekend has been canceled due to the ice and snow dumped in Florence, Alabama, by two winter storms this week.
UNA's Athletic Director Mark Linder announced on Thursday that its men's golf, baseball, softball, volleyball, cross country and men's and women's basketball teams that were all scheduled to compete, either at home or on the road, will be unable to return to competition until Monday, Feb. 22, at the earliest.
At this time, the Redbirds will remain home and use this time to practice indoors and prepare for the following weekend, when ISU hits the road for the Tennessee Invitational, hosted by the Lady Vols.
