NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State football team will officially open the 2021 fall slate on Saturday, September 4, at home when the Redbirds host the Butler Bulldogs at Hancock Stadium. To kick off the season right The Brock Spack Show, presented by Bud Light, will make its return for the first of its weekly broadcasts on Thursday, September 2, live from Schooners in Bloomington beginning at 6 p.m.
Shows will continue each Thursday from 6-7 p.m. at Schooners throughout the season. Coach Spack will talk with Redbird football play-by-play voice Dick Luedke and longtime color analyst Ted Schmitz about his team's preparation for the upcoming opponent and break down the previous week's game. Each week, the crew will be joined by a player guest to learn more about his journey with Redbird football.
Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington and sits just off the corner of Grove Street and Clinton Boulevard. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and streamed live on GoRedbirds.com and The Varsity Network. Portions of the show will also be broadcast live on the Illinois State Athletics Facebook page.
All patrons planning to attend the show in person will be asked to abide by all safety guidelines set by Schooners, the town of Bloomington and the State of Illinois.
