ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Illinois State seniors Rachel Hickey and Caroline Meyers have been named to the Missouri Valley Conference Cross Country Scholar-Athlete Team, announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.
Hickey ends her cross country career as the first runner in MVC women's cross country history to have earned five All-MVC honors after placing 14th this season to earn Honorable Mention All-MVC honors. At the championship she ran to a time of 22:03.3 to earn her fifth All-Conference honor.
Meyers narrowly missed the All-Conference designation as she placed 17th at the 2022 MVC Championship in a time of 22:07.2.
The pair will suit up for the Redbirds next on November 11 when the team travels to Columbia, Missouri, to compete in the NCAA Midwest Regional hosted by the Missouri Tigers.
