My last letter was in October and I mentioned "we continue to explore the possibility of an Indoor Practice Facility." We are thrilled to say that the possibility is now a reality thanks to some extremely generous and loyal donors. On April 9, we hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking for the Indoor Practice Facility prior to the spring football game highlighted by our lead donors Dee Miller, Sheila Marshall-Miller and BJ Bello. The groundbreaking event was very well attended, and I am extremely thankful for the outpouring of support for this game-changing project that was a decade in the making. How fitting is it that on the year we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the passage of Title IX legislation that our women's programs are dominating the Valley?! Since my last message the following programs have won Missouri Valley Conference Tournament titles: Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Women's Golf, and Women's Tennis. Swimming and Diving and both Indoor Track programs also came in second place at their championships. Congratulations to these teams on championship seasons!
It's been well documented, but we've welcomed two new head coaches and now their staff members to campus. We are extremely excited for the future of the Men's Basketball program under the leadership of Ryan Pedon. We are also ecstatic that the Volleyball program has a proven winner full of energy and enthusiasm in Allie Matters.Â
Our donors and season ticket holders can expect to see renewals hit their mailbox and email inbox in May. As always, we thank you for your support and if you have friends, family or colleagues that you think would enjoy joining the season ticket family, please invite and encourage them to jump on board.
Thank you,
Kyle Brennan
