TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Senior Sarah Kushner became the 17th Redbird to reach 1,000 career kills as Illinois State volleyball swept Indiana State at ISU Arena on Saturday.
Kushner also became the seventh Redbird to reach both 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs after she reached 1,000 digs against Green Bay on 9/2/22.
In the victory, Kushner recorded 15 kills on a blistering .458 hitting percentage to go with 11 digs for her sixth double-double of the season.
The Redbirds (8-5 overall) hit .300 for the match as junior Kaitlyn Prondzinski had 11 kills on a .421 hitting percentage and senior Kendee Hilliard tallied eight kills on a .353 hitting percentage.
Illinois State controlled the first and second sets but used a 5-0 run to close a tight third set.
Freshman Emily Weber posted a career-high 21 assists and three service aces.
