NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State Swimming and Diving secured three individual wins but fell to Indiana State 194-106 Saturday at Horton Pool in the regular season finale for Illinois State.
"We are all really proud to have swam for our senior class in their final dual meet," head coach Caitlin Hamilton said. "As a whole we are looking forward to and excited for MVCs in a couple of weeks."
Highlights:
- Reigning Valley Diver of the Week Eva Reyes opened the meet with a 1M win for the Redbirds. She recorded a score of 279.45 to keep her unbeaten 1M record at Horton Pool intact. Reyes also finished second in 3M with an overall score of 294.53.
- Seniors Madyson Morse and Lauren Naeger both secured wins in their final meet at Horton Pool Saturday. Morse took home Illinois State's first win in the pool with a first-place mark of 1:04.87 in the 100-yard breaststroke. Naeger's 2:07.01 won the 200-yard butterfly for the Redbirds.
- Sophomore Emma Feltzer rounded out the Redbird wins with a time of 24.12 in the 50-yard freestyle on Saturday.
