NORMAL, Ill. – The 2023 class of the Illinois State Athletics Percy Family Hall of Fame was enshrined on Saturday, October 14, at a ceremony conducted inside the Brown Ballroom at the Bone Student Center during Homecoming festivities at ISU.
The 2023 Illinois State Athletics Percy Family Hall of Fame class was inducted, as Mike Jones (wrestling), 1983 All-American and two-time NCAA qualifier; Jenny (Kabbes) Fuente (volleyball), two-time MVC First-Team selection and four-time All-MVC pick; Stacey Miller (golf), 2009 MVC Championship individual medalist and three-time All-MVC selection; and Cameron Siskowic (football), All-American and two-time Buck Buchanan Award finalist, each officially became members of the Illinois State Athletics Percy Family Hall of Fame.Â
In addition to the 2023 Hall of Fame class, longtime Illinois State Athletics photographer Dennis Banks was honored with the Campbell "Stretch" Miller Award. The award is named for Campbell Miller, a former Redbird student-athlete who went on to broadcast Illinois State games in the 1940s, before joining the St. Louis Cardinals broadcasting team. The award celebrates the contributions of those whose main services were not playing or coaching at Illinois State but were important to the athletic program's success.
Hall of Famer and longtime "Voice of the Redbirds" Dick Luedke served as emcee for the event, which featured remarks and well-wishes from Illinois State Interim Director of Athletics Dr. Jeri Beggs and Illinois State Interim President Dr. Aondover Tarhule. The inductees were celebrated with by fellow Hall-of-Famers, family, friends, former teammates, coaches and staff as they joined the ranks of Illinois State's greatest student-athletes, coaches, administrators and contributors.

Dennis Banks – Campbell "Stretch" Miller Award Recipient
Has worked with Illinois State Athletics as a photographer since 1989 … began career assisting the efforts of the ISU Photographic Services department, before taking over as the Athletics Department's primary photographer in the early 1990s following the decommission of the photographic services department … since that time, has been the lead photographer for the department and has worked an average of 125 athletics sporting events each year for a total of over 4,250 contests … in charge of coordinating yearly team photo shoots, student-athlete and coaching head shots, and special events like the Walk of Champions, academic excellence banquets and the annual Senior Banquet … in addition to his work for the Redbirds, has served as the primary photographer for many Missouri Valley Conference and affiliate league championships hosted on campus at Illinois State, including baseball, softball, soccer, track & field, basketball, tennis, golf, gymnastics and volleyball … his photos have been seen on a national scale as well, serving as photographer for on-campus NCAA FCS Championship contests as well as NIT and WNIT basketball tournaments … aside from his work on campus, Banks has periodically traveled to key Redbird road events, including matchups against Big Ten opponents, MVC Tournaments in St. Louis, and most recently to the 2014 FCS National Championship game in Frisco, Texas, with Redbird Football … he continues his role to this day, and his daughter Rebecca has joined him on the sidelines as a photographer for Redbird football among other sports.
Mike Jones – Wrestling (1978-1983)
Division I All-American … two-time NCAA Championships qualifier … three-time team captain … four-year varsity letterwinner …  accumulated a total of 14 medals at the Prairie State Games … after redshirting the year before, bumped up to 167 pounds and compiled a record of 41-6-1 as a senior … accumulated 140.75 points throughout the year, the most on the team … was ranked as high as seventh in the country in weight class by Amateur Wrestling News … qualified for the NCAA Championships, finishing eighth to earn All-American honors … as a junior, went 25-5 overall as a team captain, while being named the team MVP … qualified for NCAA Championships for first time … as a sophomore in 1980, tallied 26 wins and an overall record of 26-10-2 at 158 pounds … finished in third place at the NCAA Regionals … As a freshman in 1978-79, recorded a 9-2-1 record wrestling at 158 pounds … went on to finish sixth at the US Olympic trials in 1984 and later started coaching career.
Jenny (Kabbes) Fuente – Volleyball (1998-2002)
Four-time All-Missouri Valley Conference selection … two-time All-MVC First Team selection … MVC All-Tournament Team member … two-time MVC Scholar-Athlete Team selection … 1998 MVC Newcomer of the Year and All-Newcomer Team pick … ranks top 10 in ISU career history in blocks, block assists, solo blocks, and hitting percentage … in final season in 2002, named an All-MVC First Team selection and a honorable mention Valley Scholar-Athlete Team member … scored a career-best 446 points while hitting a career-best .294 … earned MVC Player of the Week honors, after recording first career triple-double (24 kills, 13 blocks, 10 digs) at Southern Illinois … member of the Barker GMC Classic All-Tournament Team … as a junior in 2021, earned All-MVC Second Team and Honorable Mention Valley Scholar-Athlete Team honors … ranked No. 4 in the MVC in blocks per game …set the CEFCU Arena hitting percentage record with an .824 vs. Evansville … had 10 blocks vs. Louisville in first match back, after missing the entire 2000 season due to injury … as a sophomore in 1999, was named an All-MVC First Team selection and was a State Farm Valley All-Tournament Team member … ranked No. 10 in ISU single-season list with 221 block assists …tied the CEFCU Arena record with 12 total blocks vs. Wisconsin-Milwaukee … was named the 1998 MVC Newcomer of the Year and a MVC All-Newcomer Team selection … also named an All-MVC Honorable Mention team pick … was the second freshman in ISU history to his over .300 for the season … following collegiate playing career, went into coaching working at Illinois State and TCU.
Stacey Miller – Women's Golf (2006-10)
Three-time All-MVC First Team selection … member of three MVC Championship teams (2008-10) … 2010 ISU Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earned the Missouri Valley Conference Dr. Charlotte West Scholar-Athlete Award … 2009 MVC Championship individual medalist … three-time MVC Scholar-Athlete team member … 10-time MVC Golfer of the Week honoree … 2010 First-Team All-MVC selection and four-time MVC Golfer of the Week pick … captured the individual title at the Hawkeye Invitational … posted low single-round score of 69 at the Cardinal Cup … shot 27 rounds in the 70s or below … her career-low season stroke average of 74.97 ranks 16th in MVC history .. 2009 First-Team All-MVC selection and four-time MVC Golfer of the Week honoree … earned medalist honors at the 2009 State Farm MVC Championship, shooting 225 to help the Redbirds to their second-straight team title … shot 26 rounds in the 70s as a junior … 2008 First-Team All-MVC selection … posted two top-10 individual finishes and six top-20 finishes … tied for 11th individually at the MVC Championship … as a freshman, shot a 228 at the Shootout at The Legends and recorded a season-low round of 74 at the Rio Verde Invitational and the Indiana Invitational … the No. 1 ranked player in the Missouri Valley Conference by Golf Stat during her career, Miller played professionally and competed in the 2012 U.S. Women's Amateur.
Cameron Siskowic – Football (2003-06)
Two-time FCS All-American selection … two-time Buck Buchanan Award finalist, an award given to the top defensive player in FCS football … 2006 MVFC Defensive Player of the Year … two-time All-MVFC First-Team selection … ranks No. 6 in ISU history in career total tackles with 394 … following senior season, earned First-Team All-America honors from the Associated Press and the Walter Camp Football Foundation … 2006 Buck Buchanan Award finalist, finishing fifth overall in the voting … All-MVFC First-Team Selection after ranking No. 2 nationally in total tackles with 154 … helped lead the Redbirds to the 2006 FCS playoffs, including a first-round win at Eastern Illinois … named FCS national defensive player of the week, following a career-best 22 tackle performance against Eastern Illinois … as a junior in 2005, earned First-Team All-America honors from the Sports Xchange and  was a Second-Team All-America pick by The Sports Network … Third-Team Associated Press All-American … Buck Buchanan Award finalist and All-MVFC First-Team Selection … led the team and conference with 132 total tackles and ranked second on the team with 14 tackles for loss … as a sophomore in 2004, started 10 games, ranking second on the team with 92 total tackles … posted five double-digit tackle efforts, including a season-high 14 against Eastern Illinois … finished the year with seven tackles for loss … as a freshman in 2003, played in all 11 games, following a transfer from Washington State … blocked a punt at Eastern Illinois that forced the game-tying safety … after collegiate career was over, spent time in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals and Minnesota Vikings, before heading to Canada to play for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League.
