CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Fourth-year junior Shay Kubo laced an RBI single in the opening frame, but the Illinois State baseball team struggled to muster much offense in a 9-1 defeat at Austin Peay on Saturday at Raymond C. Hand Park as the series is even through two games.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Fourth-year junior Greg Nichols and second-year sophomore Noah Rabin both recorded two-out singles to set-up a Kubo RBI single in the 1st inning.
Austin Peay struck for four in the 4th inning before scoring five more over the next three innings to lead, 9-1.
Rabin and Kubo were both stranded on second and third base in the 1st and 4th innings.
