Morse Takes Gold in Day Two of CSCAA NIC

ELKHART, Ind. - Senior Madyson Morse secured her fourth gold of 2023 championship season with a win Friday in the 100-yard breaststroke in the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America National Invitational Championship.

It's Morse's second gold in the 100 Breaststroke after she also won at the Valley Championships in February. She swam to a time of 1:01.25 in the prelims before besting that mark with a 1:00.68 to win the CSCAA NIC title and add to her impressive senior campaign, which has a running medal count of five (four gold and one silver).

Morse and the Redbirds also secured a strong showing in the 200-yard medley relay Friday. Chloe Tyler, Mia Snow and Ella Turken joined her for a mark of 1:41.23 that grabbed seventh at the CSCAA NIC.

In other postseason competition, sophomore Eva capped off her campaign in the 1M dive at the NCAA Zone C Diving championships. She posted a score of 225.00 to finish 38th in Friday's prelims.
