ISU Goes South for HCU Husky Intercollegiate

SUGAR LAND, Texas – The Redbirds travel south for the third time in as many tournaments as the team takes part in the 15-team Houston Christian University Husky Invitational.

Last Time Out: The Illinois State women's golf team finished play at the 2023 Rio Verde Invitational by carding a third-round 314 to give the team a three-day 927, which put the 'Birds in 15th place in the event. Avalon Woodward paced the 'Birds with a final-round 75, a round that saw three birdies and 10 pars en route to her three-over final round score to place in a tie of 17th in the large field of golfers, earning her MVC Co-Golfer of the Week later that week.

Redbird History at the HCU Husky Invitational: This season is the first year that the Redbirds have competed at the event.
