Illinois State Baseball Announces Home Game Promotional Schedule

NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State baseball team has announced its promotional schedule for home games played at Duffy Bass Field in 2023.

See below for a list and description of the promotions. Illinois State is scheduled to open its home schedule with a series vs Eastern Illinois from March 17-19.

Sunday, March 15 – Home Opener 

• Come out and support the Redbirds in the first home game of the season at Duffy Bass Field!

Sunday, March 19 – Sunday Funday  

• Kids run the bases after the game  

• One lucky youth baseball fan will be chosen from the crowd to throw out the first pitch.  

Tuesday, March 28 – Battle of the Birds (Red Out) 

• Wear red as we take on the University of Iowa Hawkeyes tonight!  

• Follow Red Alert on social media to have your chance at throwing out the first pitch  

Saturday, April 1 – Stuff the Duff 

• You can expect trivia and hits from the 2000s as we have a throwback game to Stuff the Duff!  

Tuesday, April 11 – Greek Day  

• All fraternities and sororities are invited to spend the evening cheering on the Redbirds! 

• $8 Walking Taco concession special

Saturday, April 15 – Bark in the Park 

• Come out to Duffy Bass field with your four-legged friend!  

• All dogs are welcome inside of the facility for this day only!  

• $8 Hamburger concession special

Sunday, April 16 – Sunday Funday 

• Kids run the bases after the game  

• One lucky youth baseball fan will be chosen from the crowd to throw out the first pitch.  

Tuesday, April 25 - Military Appreciation Night

• Join us as we celebrate all veterans and those who have served our country at this game

• $8 SoftTacos concession special

Friday, May 5 – Cinco De Mayo 

• Come out for special drink and concession specials whiles cheering on your Redbirds! 

Saturday, May 6 – Halfway to Halloween  

• It's halfway to Halloween – we want to see your best Halloween costumes at Duffy Bass Field!  

• Be expecting a candy toss during the game!

• $6 Corndog concession special

Sunday, May 7 – Sunday Funday  

• Kids run the bases after the game  

• One lucky youth baseball fan will be chosen from the crowd to throw out the first pitch.  

Friday, May 12 – Family Tailgate  

• Start off our family weekend series with a family tailgate before the game!  

Saturday, May 13 – Mother's Day  

• All Redbird Baseball Moms can throw out the first pitch to their sons!  

Sunday, May 14 – Senior Day  

• Cheer on our Senior class as they play in their final game on Duffy Bass Field  

• Post-game senior recognition ceremony
