NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State baseball team dropped a 11-2 decision in seven innings at Duffy Bass Field on Saturday as the Flames scored nine times in the first four innings.
Illinois State (18-28 overall, 7-16 Missouri Valley Conference) got an RBI double by fourth-year junior Greg Nichols and RBI knock from freshman Daniel Pacella.
UIC improves to 25-21 overall, 11-12 MVC.
HOW IT HAPPENED
UIC scored the game's first nine runs before Nichols doubled home fourth-year junior Shaydon Kubo in the 5th inning.
Pacella singled home third-year junior Auggie Rasmussen in the 6th inning before the Flames extended their lead to 11-2.

Illinois State is scheduled to host UIC on Sunday (12:00 p.m. CT) in the team's final home game at Duffy Bass Field in 2023. The program will honor its seniors following Sunday's game.
