PEORIA, Ill.. – The Illinois State University Cross Country team completed the 2024 Bradley Pink Classic on Friday afternoon in Peoria, Ill.
The Illinois State men's squad earned a 27th-place finish with a point total of 774. Meanwhile, the women's team did not earn a team score, as only three Redbirds competed.
Sophomore Trixie Johnson was Illinois State's highest finisher in the women's race after a 58th-place finish with a time of 23:48.0. Freshman Amanda Pocica ran a personal best time of 23:57.34 to finish in 63rd-place.
The Redbirds men's team followed as Sophomore Noah Penry led the Redbirds with a time of 25:29.33 in his first race of the season. The freshmen pairing of Josh Weeks (25:37.03) and Luke Barham (25:41.82) each earned personal best marks in the event.
