Moments later Camryn Ries broke through for a 1-0 Flames lead. Just after the break she netted her second goal, a 51st minute score that gave UIC a 2-0 lead.
Ava Watson put a pair of shots on frame in the second half, however both opportunities were saved as UIC earned a win.
