NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State Soccer (5-9-4, 3-4-3) settled for a 1-1 draw with UNI (9-5-4, 4-3-3) Sunday at Adelaide Street Field in the regular season finale.
Illinois State built a 1-0 halftime lead, before the Panthers struck in the 81st minute to level the score. Ellie Arnold scored her first goal in a Redbird uniform in the 34th minute Sunday as the Redbirds jumped ahead of UNI. Eve Gricius played a cross from the near side and Arnold scored from inside the 6-yard line.
Bekah Nielsen, Arnold, Bella Hanisch, and Cyerra Hibbert were all honored Sunday on Senior Day for Illinois State. All four Redbirds started the match, including Nielsen who posted a first-half shutout with a pair of saves.

The Redbirds meet UNI for the second consecutive game, this time in the opening round of the MVC Tournament hosted by UIC Oct. 31. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
