Last Time Out: The Redbirds are coming off the Red Rocks Invitational in which the squad finished eighth of 20 schools; however, was just eight strokes away from the team champion with rounds of 289, 300, and 300. Jinyoung Yun was the top finisher for the Redbirds, tying for eighth overall, including a school-record-tying opening round of 67. Â
Redbird History at the Colonel Classic: The Redbirds have twice previously played in the tournament, each time finishing as the runner-up. Last season the Redbirds got a second-place finish from Michaela Kverkova as ISU finished two strokes behind champion Austin Peay. Like last season, in 1996-97 the tournament was also the final tournament before the upcoming MVC Championship. The 'Birds were led by Julie Orrison who finished third with a two-round 149 (+5) with Suzanne Walker (+7) and Denise Thiele (+8) finished fifth and sixth, respectively.

About the Course:Â The University Club at Arlington comprises an 18-hole championship course, an Olympic-size swimming and diving complex, six lighted tennis courts, multiple event venues, state-of-the-art golf practice facility, and various dining facilities. The club also serves as home to the EKU Men's and Women's golf teams and the EKU Professional Golf Management Program. Additionally, The University Club at Arlington is a venue for many University conferences and events.
