NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State suffered a Saturday setback to Indiana State at Duffy Bass Field by a final of 10-1 in front of 1,064 fans as part of Stuff The Duff 2024.
Senior Erik Kubiatowicz threw 2.0 innings while allowing one run for the Redbirds (20-16 overall, 8-6 MVC)
Indiana State (28-8 overall, 11-3 MVC) has won seven of its last 10 games.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Three walks, a single, and hit by pitch yielded a 3-0 Indiana State lead after an inning.
The Sycamores added two runs in the 3rd inning before scoring once in the 4th inning, three times in the 7th inning, and once in the 9th.
Illinois State scored their first run of the afternoon in the top of the 9th with a solo shot by senior Auggie Rasmussen, his eighth home run of 2024.
