Murray State drops to 25-17 overall and 8-9 in the MVC.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Murray State scored first with an RBI ground out in the 1st before Rabin tied the game up at 1-1 with his ninth home run of the season in the top of the 2nd.

The Racers added another run in the 2nd to lead 2-1, but ILS would retake the lead thanks to Rabin's two-RBI double in the 3rd, pushing the score to 3-2.

The 4th inning saw 11 Redbirds come to the plate as ILS scored five times to make the score 8-2.

Murray State scored the game's next four runs, including a three-run 6th, to trim the Redbird lead to 8-6 after six innings.

Illinois State added to the lead with two runs in the 8th, including home run no. 7 on the year by redshirt junior Judah Morris, as the score read 10-6.

The Racers would not go down quietly, adding two runs of their own in the 8th as the score would be 10-8 heading to the ninth.

ISU added an insurance run in the 9th off an RBI single by junior Tyler Herron for an 11-8 lead.
