CEDAR FALLS, Iowa. –  The Redbirds fell 19-1 in the final game of the three-game series at UNI on Sunday. The 'Birds move to 19-30 on the season and 13-11 in conference play. The loss marks the first time the Redbirds have been swept this season.
Addison Masching hit her second-career home run, while Kaili Chval earned two hits on the day. The Redbirds had four hits on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The 'Birds led-off the game with back-to-back singles from Delainey Bryant and Kaili Chval, but were unable to push any across in the top of the first.
In the bottom of the second, the Panthers struck first, coming on a double that scored a runner who walked earlier in the inning. In the next half inning, Chval added her second hit of the day, but the Panthers continued to put on more pressure, adding two more runs on a solo shot, a double, and a single. Â
In the top of the fourth, the 'Birds got on the board with a solo shot from Addison Masching, just the second of her career.
In the bottom of the fourth, the Panthers plated 16 runs which ultimately ended the game in run-rule fashion.
UP NEXT
The 'Birds will then host their final conference series of the regular season when Evansville comes to Normal. The Redbirds will celebrate Senior Day on Sunday of the series.
