NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State Soccer has set its 2024 fall schedule, a slate that includes 11 contests on Adelaide Street Field, ahead of head coach Raleigh DeRose's inaugural campaign at the helm of the program.
"We are excited to begin our 2024 season as a program," DeRose said. "Our roster, which includes a group of players that have experience, talent, and strong work rates, looks forward to working together to forge an identity as a team in the first few weeks of the season. We will take on strong non-conference opponents that will help prepare our team for the competitive and talented matchups we will see in MVC play. Our group is eager to begin our preparations for the upcoming season and kickoff on Adelaide Street Field."
The Redbirds are set to host a pair of exhibition matches at home to prepare for the 2024 regular season. Indiana visits Aug. 6 and crosstown-foe Heartland Community College comes to Adelaide Street Field Aug. 10.
Illinois State also kicks off the regular season at home Aug. 15 against Green Bay before opening a three-game stretch on the road. The Redbirds travel to Purdue Fort Wayne Aug. 18, Illinois Aug. 25 and Oakland Aug. 29.
The Redbirds are then set for three-straight contests against in-state foes, returning home for Northwestern Sep. 5, traveling to Western Illinois September 8 and hosting Northern Illinois Sep. 12. Butler visits Sep. 15 to cap off the non-conference slate for the Redbirds.
Illinois State will open Missouri Valley Conference play on the road at Southern Illinois Sep. 15. The Redbirds will also travel to Drake (Sep. 29), Murray State (Oct. 6), Evansville (Oct. 17) and UIC (Oct. 20).
The Redbirds will host five Valley contests at Adelaide Street Field this season including Belmont (Sep. 22), Valparaiso (Oct. 3), Indiana State (Oct. 13) and the final two regular season matches of 2024 Oct. 24 vs Missouri State and Oct. 27 vs UNI.
Game times, dates and locations are subject to change. Broadcast details will be announced at a later date. All matches on Adelaide Street are free admission.
