Women's Tennis Opens Fall Schedule at Redbird Invitational

NORMAL, Ill.--  The Illinois State women's tennis team will open up the 2024-2025 fall schedule this weekend at the Redbird Invitational from Sept. 27-29 at the Gregory Street Tennis Courts.

WEEKEND SLATE

The Invitational will start at 9am each day beginning with doubles matches that will be followed by singles matches.

A LOOK AT THE BIRDS

Illinois State returns MVC All-Conference Honoree Silvia Pomarolli. The Redbirds will also lean on Elena Jankulovska and Zoe Limparis as the ISU women's tennis team brings in newcomers Nicole Iosio, Emma Lindh and Sophie Marie Lowe who will all look to make an impact during their first season in the Missouri Valley Conference.

TOURNEY FIELD

The Redbirds will be competing in a field of eight. Teams will include Bradley (MVC), Eastern Illinois (OVC), Marquette (Big East), UW-Milwaukee (Horizon), UIC (MVC), Valparaiso (MVC), and St Thomas (SUMMIT).

UP NEXT

Illinois State will travel to Chicago, Ill. next week for the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships, hosted by UIC, that will take place from Oct. 4-6.
