COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Illinois State track & field program wrapped up day one of the Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational in Columbia on Friday afternoon.
Senior Kiley Sanders recorded a point total of 3778 in the women's pentathlon in a second-place effort. Sanders' mark moves her to third all-time in Illinois State program history.
Junior Lindsey Miller ran a mark of 24.29 in the women's 200m dash. Miller's time moves to seventh in Redbird history for the event.
Sophomore Immaculate Daniel followed Miller for a fifth-place finish in the 200m dash. Daniel ran a time of 24.49 in her first appearance in the 200m dash for Illinois State this season.Â
Sophomore Blake Oleson finished second in the men's 5000m, after running a time of 14:48.43. Oleson recorded the time in his first career appearance in the 5000m.
Sophomore Ava Lawless, a native of Holt, Mo., notched a personal best jump of 5.39m (17-8.25). Lawless made her first appearance back in her home state in her Redbird career.
Senior Devin Turner returned to his hometown of Columbia, Mo., and tallied a season-best jump of 7.13m (23-4.25) in the long jump in an eighth-place effort.
Sophomore Adi Scott recorded a season-best throw with a mark of 15.30m in the women's weight throw. On the men's side, Sophomore Cole Stevens recorded a personal best throw of 18.65m (61-2.25)
In the women's pole vault, Junior Isabelle Hemmen tallied a season-best vault of 3.62m (11-10.5). Junior Charles Cruse cleared at 4.97m (16-3.5) in a ninth-place effort on the men's side.
In the men's heptathlon, Senior Ariel Atias currently sits in third place with 3084. Sophomore Ryan Schaefer sits in eighth with 2780 points.
