NORMAL, Ill. – It's Homecoming Week at Illinois State, and the No. 9 ranked Redbirds are set to square off against No. 25 Youngstown State in an FCS Top 25 matchup on Saturday on Jay and Lori Bergman Field at Hancock Stadium. ISU head Coach Brock Spack will preview this week's game against the Penguins at Schooners on Thursday at 6 p.m. at The Brock Spack Show, presented by Redbird Ale from DESTIHL.
Coach Spack will chat with Redbird football play-by-play voice John Fitzgerald and longtime color analyst Ted Schmitz about his team's stellar offensive performance in a win last week at Murray State and what challenges the Penguins prove this weekend. They will be joined by senior fullback/tight end Scotty Presson Jr. as this week's player guest and Coach Spack will interview Schmitz just days before he is inducted into the ISU Athletics Percy Family Hall of Fame as the 2025 Campbell 'Stretch' Miller Award recipient.
Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington and sits just off the corner of Grove Street and Clinton Boulevard. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and streamed live on GoRedbirds.com and The Varsity Network. Portions of the show will also be broadcast live on the Illinois State Athletics Facebook page.
