Fall Slate Wraps Up This Weekend For Redbird Women’s Tennis At ITA Regional

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois State women's tennis team will wrap up the fall portion of its schedule this weekend at the 2025 ITA Midwest Regional Championships hosted by Illinois.

The ITA Midwest Regional Championships will take place from October 16-21 at Atkins Tennis Center in Champaign. The tournament will include a minimum 64-player singles main draw and 32-team doubles main draw, with qualifying draws used to finalize the field. Singles matches begin on Thursday at 9 a.m., with two rounds of qualifying matches scheduled on the first day of competition.

The Division I Regional Championships are one of the longest-running and most successful programs administered by the ITA each year. The two singles finalists and the doubles champion from each regional will automatically qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships, set to take place at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla., Nov. 18-23, 2025.

The Redbirds will begin their spring dual-meet season in January, before starting Missouri Valley Conference play leading up to the 2026 MVC Women's Tennis Championships, April 24-26, hosted by UIC.
