NORMAL, Ill. — The Missouri Valley Conference announced Tuesday the results of its pre-championship poll voted on by the conference's head coaches. Both the Redbird men (88 points) and women (92 points) were picked to finish in third place at Friday's MVC Championships.
Competition at Angel Mounds in Evansville, Ind., will begin with the women's 6K at 10:30 a.m., followed by the men's 8K at 11:30 a.m.
Last year, the ISU men finished runner-up at the MVC Championships, while the women placed sixth. The Redbird men have won the conference title 10 times, with their last coming in 2020-21.The Redbird women have claimed seven MVC titles, with their last coming in 2012.
