ST. LOUIS – Illinois State offensive guard Landon Woodard was stellar in Illinois State's win over Northern Iowa on Saturday, and for his efforts he was named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week on Monday by the league office.
Woodard joins wide receiver/kick returner Rashad Rochelle of Indiana State (Offense), defensive back DeJuan Lewis of South Dakota (Defense), defensive back Nic Yatsko of Indiana State (Newcomer) and return specialist Jackson Williams of North Dakota State (Special Teams) as this week's conference players of the week.
Woodard and the Redbird offensive line were a big part of the Redbirds' success in a 31-16 win over UNI.
