ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Missouri Valley Conference has announced this week's Athlete of the Week selections Tuesday afternoon.
Senior Kiley Sanders was selected as this week's MVC Female Field Athlete of the Week following a strong performance on Friday in the women's pentathlon. Sanders earned a second-place finish in the event after accumulating 3778 points across the five events. Her point total was a personal best mark and moved her to third in Illinois State history for the women's pentathlon.
Sanders records her second Athlete of the Week honor this season. She becomes the first Redbird to receive the award twice this season.
