NORMAL, Ill. – Three-time Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Coach of the Year Breanne Hall has announced her resignation to take the same position at the University of Nebraska. ISU will begin an immediate nationwide search for a new head coach.
Hall has led the Redbirds to MVC titles three times in her seven seasons as head coach, earning Coach of the Year honors each time. Over her seven seasons her teams have re-written the women's golf record books, including recording the 12 lowest tournament scores, 16 of the 17 lowest single-round scores, the six lowest team season scoring averages, and the four most individual rounds for a season in program history.
Individually her golfers have seven of the eight lowest season stroke averages and eight of the 10 most individual rounds at or under par in program history. This season her teams tied a school record by winning four tournaments: Redbird Invitational (Sept. 8-9), Loyola Parkinson Family Invitational (Oct. 7-8), Columbia Classic (Feb. 8-9), and the MVC Championship (Apr. 13-15).
She has coached three MVC Golfers of the Year in Ali Schrock (2022) and Jinyoung Yun (2024 and 2025), two MVC Newcomers of the Year in Maria Toledo Bailey (2021) and Morgan Jones (2025), and one MVC Freshman of the Year in Elise Fennell (2025). Three times in her tenure an ISU golfer has been named the MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year (Schrock in 2022 and 2024, and Yun in 2025), with the Redbirds earning 15 First Team All-MVC honors over her time as head coach. Additionally, her golfers have three of the four lowest single season scoring averages in MVC history.
