NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State defeated Indiana State in its first Missouri Valley Conference Tournament game, 14-4. Tyrelle Chadwick fanned seven batters in the victory.
The Redbirds (28-26) will advance to play No. 2 seed Missouri State tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m.

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ Â
- The Sycamores got their first runs of the game in the top of the first with a solo home run and RBI single.
- Illinois State responded in the bottom of the first with four runs via a two-RBI double from Brayden Bakes and a two-RBI single from Daniel Contreras.
- Indiana State added a run to their total with an RBI double in the 4th to make it 5-3
- The Redbirds expanded their lead to 8-3 in the 7th with a RBI single from Judah Morris, RBI hit by Josh Outlaw, and RBI single from Luke Stulga
- Indiana State plated a run in the 8th off a fielder's choice
- ILS walked it off thanks to six runs in the 8th via a wild pitch, two bases loaded walks, and two RBI singles.
