MURRAY, Ken. – On another rainy day in Kentucky, the start of the second game of the series between Illinois State and Murray State was delayed for the second day in a row. That break seemed to favor the Racers (21-26, 11-15 MVC), who held the Redbirds (22-29, 15-11 MVC) to two hits on the day and came away with a 6-1 win to even the series at one game apiece.

Pitching Breakdown:
Paige McLeod (L, 4-11): 4.1 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 4 K

HOW IT HAPPENED
The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fifth inning, when the Racers put up a crooked number and scored six runs to take a lead over the Redbirds. The Redbirds would answer with a run in the top of the sixth inning on a home run off the bat of Tatum Wolford, her third of the season, to trim the Murray State lead to 6-1. However, that would be as close as ISU would get as Murray State held on for the win in the second game of the series in Kentucky. Â Â Â
