NORMAL, Ill. — The Illinois State Track & Field and Cross Country programs will host a homecoming tailgate at the outdoor track on campus on Saturday, October 18. The event will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a short program at noon. All alumni, family and friends are welcome to attend.
"Homecoming is always a special event at Illinois State, but this year we're especially excited to welcome back our Redbird Track & Field family," said Jeff Bovee, Illinois State Director of Track & Field and Cross Country. "Our alumni, parents and outstanding supporters are the foundation of what we do, and this event gives us the opportunity to celebrate their impact on our program and the legacy they continue to build. We can't wait to share in the Redbird spirit together!"
A $25 per person registration fee is required for entry. The fee includes entry to the tailgate, music, games, food and refreshments. Registration closes on 11:59 p.m. CT on October 10.

After the event, attendees are encouraged to watch the Illinois State homecoming football game at 2 p.m. at Hancock Stadium, which is across from the outdoor track. Parking and tickets to the football game are not included. Public paid parking will be available in lots G53, G82 and S81. Football tickets can be purchased here.
