ISU Volleyball to Host Block Party Prior to Sept. 14 Match vs Illinois

NORMAL, Ill.– Illinois State Volleyball will be hosting a block party outside of CEFCU Arena on the North Plaza of the arena on September 14, leading into the Redbirds' 2 p.m. contest against the Illinois Illini.

The event will run from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and is free to attend. There will be a DJ and music, courtesy of Cumulus Bloomington, and there will be food and drinks available for purchase.

Among the many vendors at the event include bounce houses provided by Fun on the Run, balloon art from Unique Twist, face painting from the Zoo Lady and her Crew, and a rock-climbing wall from Upper Limits. Additionally, there will be a sport court also available for kids to play basketball.

ISU's game against Illinois caps a weekend of volleyball inside CEFCU Arena, as the Redbirds host the 2025 Linda Herman Volleyball Invitational, which also includes Illinois, Cincinnati, and Miami (Fla.). The Birds open play at the Invitational on Friday, September 12 against Miami at 5:30 p.m., before coming back a day later on Saturday for a 4 p.m. first serve against the Cincinnati Bearcats.
