ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Missouri Valley Conference Commissioner Jeff Jackson has named the 2025 Fall State Farm MVC Good Neighbor Award honorees for the 2025 Fall season.
Junior Erika Wells was one of 11 student-athletes recognized with the honor. The award highlights and honors the achievements of exceptional student-athletes.
Wells, a Molecular and Cellular Biology major, has recorded a 3.8 cumulative GPA and has been named to the Dean's List on four occasions. Wells has been a member of the university Honor Roll and the Athletics Honor Roll since 2023.
Along with her excellence in the classroom, Wells has served as a leader for Illinois State student-athletes, as she has been a representative on the Illinois State Athletics Student-Athlete Advisory Council since 2024. In this role, Wells served on the SAAC Executive Board as a Student Affairs representative and Event Coordinator.
Wells has also been a leader in serving the community after volunteering for 12 events or programs across the fall, including the State Farm Million Meals Pack, Illinois Special Olympics, and Illinois State University Athletics SAAC Canned Food Drive.
Wells is set to return for Illinois State soccer in 2026 after making five starts in 2025 before missing the rest of the season due to injury.
