Volleyball Adds Jillian Gregory for 2026

NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State volleyball coach Allie Matters has announced that 6-0 outside hitter Jillian Gregory, a transfer from the University of Wyoming, has signed on to be a member of the Redbird squad starting in 2026.

"We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Jill to our Redbird family," said Matters. "She is a phenomenal athlete and will bring competitive energy and grit to our program. We expect her to make an immediate impact on our pin position. It was clear upon her arrival to campus that she would be a perfect fit for our culture both academically and athletically! We know that our Redbird fans are going to enjoy watching her compete."

As a freshman, the Wichita, Kansas, native, played in 19 matches, with 85 kills (1.67 per set), while adding 36 digs and 10 blocks. She had a career-high 16 kills against Colorado State on September 25 and had 10 against Idaho State on September 19. She had a season-high six digs against Fresno State on November 1, while she also added eight kills and a career-high four blocks.

In high school she was named the Most Valuable Player in the Ark Valley Chisolm Trail Division I League and was a four-time all-league honoree. She was also a multiple-time All-Wichita Metro Team member and was a two-time captain at Maize South High School. During her junior year she led Kansas 5A in kills per set and hitting percentage. She was also a decorated track and field athlete and received a Prep Volleyball and IMG 4-star recruiting ranking.
