NORMAL, Ill. – A rainy couple of days in the Twin Cities put a bit of a damper on Illinois State's annual Red-White Scrimmage on Saturday, however the Redbirds still took the field with energy and excitement for the fans in attendance at Hancock Stadium. The Redbirds focused on several key situations during the final scrimmage of 2026 Fall Training Camp, including driving the field, an overtime period, goal-to-go situations and a two-minute scenario.
Scoring Summary:
•   The first score of the scrimmage came on the first possession of the day, as Beckham Pellant led the first-team offense on an efficient 9-play, 73-yard scoring drive that was capped off on a 10-yard touchdown run by running back Anthony Hall.
•   On the third series of the day, placekicker Drew Drzonek drilled a 50-yard field goal through the uprights to put an end to an 8-play scoring drive.
•   The offense went a perfect 3-for-3 in the overtime scenarios, with each unit scoring a touchdown. The first-team unit stayed on the ground, with three strong runs by Hall resulting in a 1-yard touchdown from Hall, his second TD of the day. On the second attempt, Pellant had a 19-yard pass completion to Ian Willis that set up a 7-yard touchdown run by Tyler Lofton. The third attempt was also successful, as Chase Kwiatkowski tossed a 6-yard touchdown pass to Dallas Amos to cap off a great session.
•   Drzonek was next to score, as he made his second field goal of the day this one form 23 yards out during the goal-to-go session. That was followed by an 8-yard touchdown pass from the duo of Kwiatkowski and Amos capped off the drill with six points for the offense.
•   The final points of the day were scored by kicker Michael Cosentino, who drilled a 42-yarder during the mayday field goal drill.
