2012-13/junior at Illinois State
After never starting as a sophomore, started 30 out of 32 games played • Recorded 10 double-digit scoring efforts • Collected two or more steals 11 times • Was held to 2.5 points per game during the Valley Tournament • Matched his career high with five assists and scored eight points in the loss at Utah State (Feb. 23) • Was one of four Redbirds in double-figures with 12 points and two assists in the loss to Wichita State (Feb. 17) • Netted eight points and matched his career high with four rebounds in the win at No. 16 Creighton (Feb. 9) • Scored 12 points with two steals to help ISU come back from a 17-point deficit to win at Drake (Feb. 6) • Netted 22 points, his second-highest output of the season, in the loss to Drake (Jan. 12) • Earned a career-high five assists in the loss at Indiana State (Dec. 30) • Scored seven points and grabbed two rebounds in the loss at No. 5 Louisville (Dec. 1) • Became the first Redbird since 2010 to score 30 points on 9-for-15 shooting during his career-high effort in the win over UAB (Nov. 23) • Also collected a career-best six steals and earned a new career-high six three-point field goals against UAB • Converted a key four-point play during an 11-point effort to help beat Drexel (Nov. 15) • Made his first-career start against UC Santa Barbara, and scored 10 points with two rebounds (Nov. 12) • Named the 2012 Dr. James E. Collie Endowed Scholarship recipient.

2011-12/sophomore at Illinois State
Originally came to Illinois State as a member of the football team, as a wide receiver • Saw his first action of the season against Norfolk State (Dec. 18), after sitting out the last academic year due to NCAA transfer rules • Averaged 5.5 points per game during the NIT run • Scored 51 points in 82 minutes of action against Creighton this season, or 17 points per game • Named to the Valley's All-Bench Team, as voted on by the league's newspaper beat writers • Poured in 17-point efforts against Wichita State (Feb. 22), Northern Iowa (Feb. 11) and Creighton (Feb. 1) • Held scoreless in his first three games with the Redbirds, but over the last 21 games of the season, averaged 9.1 points • Collected seven double-digit efforts on the season • Left the Drake game (Jan. 15) late in the second half with an ankle sprain and missed the next two games as a result of the injury • Poured in a career-best 29 points against Creighton (Jan. 13), on 11-for-17 shooting and 5-for-9 on threes • Scored his first points in an Illinois State uniform at Southern Illinois (Jan. 1), and finished with 12 points thanks to a 3-for-3 shooting effort on threes.

Played as a walk-on on Tubby Smith's Gopher basketball team in 2009-10 and saw action in nine games, where he scored seven points, grabbed two rebounds and was credited with one assist • Also played two seasons at Minnesota on the football team.

at Maplewood-Richmond Heights High School
A standout on the basketball court, as he led the Blue Devils to a 2008 state basketball championship • Scored 25 points in that state title game, including the game-winning layup with four seconds left after his team trailed by 19 points earlier in the contest • Also won a state track championship in the 300-meter hurdles in 2006 • Rated as the No. 52 athlete in the nation by Rivals and the No. 99 wide receiver in the country by Scout.com • Earned three-star rankings from both Scout and Rivals • Holds the school's career record for total touchdowns with 62 • First 1,000-yard wide receiver in MRHS history • Two-time first-team all-state performer.
