2012-13/sophomore at Illinois State
Started 26 of all 33 games played • Made his first-collegiate start at No. 5 Louisville (Dec. 1), and then started Illinois State's final 25 games • Named to the Valley Most-Improved Team after significantly increasing all of his game averages as a sophomore compared to his freshman season (+5.7 points, +2.9 rebounds, +2.6 assists, +1.1 steals and +17.9 minutes) • Tied his career-rebounding high, with nine boards in the Valley Tournament win over Northern Iowa (March 8) • Scored 15 points, with seven rebounds and two assists in the win over Missouri State (Feb. 27) • Played a career-best 37 minutes, with 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the win at No. 16 Creighton (Feb. 9) • Recorded his second-highest career scoring output with 18 points in the win over Indiana State (Jan. 23) • Earned scoring and rebounding career highs with 24 points and nine rebounds in the loss to Drake (Jan. 12) • Netted 14 points on six field goal attempts in the loss at Missouri State (Jan. 8) • Grabbed a season-best four steals in the win over Morgan State (Dec. 16) • Collected a career-high 10 assists and grabbed six rebounds in the win over Western Michigan (Dec. 8) • Made his first-career start at No. 5 Louisville in place of injured Kaza Keane (Dec. 1) • Recorded six assists and scored eight points in the loss at No. 5 Louisville • Attempted eight field goals in an 11-point effort during the win over Fairleigh Dickinson (Nov. 20) • Scored 13 points, including a clutch free throw in overtime, to lift ISU over Drexel (Nov. 15).

Played in 27 games, all as a reserve • Role diminished during the end of the season • Scored seven points against Creighton (Jan. 13), but was ejected with 24.4 seconds left in the game after an unsportsmanlike foul • Only scored two points against Northern Iowa (Dec. 29), but it was a thunderous dunk through three defenders to end the first half • Lost part of his front tooth in the first half against UNC Wilmington (Dec. 3), but returned in the second half and finished with six points on 3-for-5 shooting • Sank his first career three-point attempt in the game against Bethune-Cookman (Nov. 27) and finished with three points • Posted the first double-digit scoring game of his career with 11 points in just 13 minutes of play against Lipscomb (Nov. 19) • In his college debut, finished with four points and five rebounds at Fresno State (Nov. 11) • The sixth player in Illinois State history with the last name of Hill, including the fifth since the 1998 season.

Led the Rams to a school-record 28-4 mark and a third-place finish at the 2011 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 4A State Tournament • Tossed in 34 points against Naperville Central in the 2011 regional and added a 32-point game against Rockford Auburn in the super sectional • Finished his career with 1,388 points • Averaged 20.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game during his senior season • Two-time all-state and all-conference selection • Averaged 16 points, six rebounds and four steals per game as a junior • Coached by Scott Miller.
