2023-24 (Illinois State)


Played and started in all of the team's 32 games during the season, averaging 8.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Had a 1.6 assist-to-turnover ratio, and made 37.9 percent (91-of-240) of his shots from the field, and 30.2 percent (32-of-106) from long range. Scored in double-figures 14 times, including scoring a career-high 19 points at UIC on November 30. Opened the season by scoring in double-figures in each of his first four games, scoring a then-career-high 17 points at Saint Louis on November 11. Grabbed a career-high six steals against Long Beach State in the opening game of the Gulf Coast Showcase. Made a career-high four three-point baskets against Northern Kentucky on December 6, and tied his career-high with seven rebounds against both Southeast Missouri State (Dec. 21) and Belmont (Jan. 10). 

2022-23 (Southern Illinois)


Played in all 33 games during the season, coming off the bench in each. In 14.2 minutes of action per game he averaged 3.9 points per game with 41 assists and 38 rebounds. He added 18 steals and a pair of blocked shots. Banks made 40.4 percent of his shots from the field (44-of-109), 31.1 percent from long range (14-of-45), and 76.5 percent of his free tries (26-of-34). He scored a season-high 14 points in the season-opening win over Little Rock, while also dishing out five assists - also a season-high. Also gave out five assists on February 26 at UIC, where he also pulled down a season-high four rebounds.

2021-22 (Southern Illinois)


Played in 30 of the team's 31 games with 14 starts. He averaged 23.3 minutes per game, while scoring 139 points (4.6 per game), while dishing out 70 assists (against just 39 turnovers) and grabbing 60 rebounds (2.0 per game). He scored in double-figures four times, including a season-high 14 at Valparaiso on January 8. He twice scored 11 points, the first time on January 19 against Indiana State and the second on February 12 at home against Evansville. He added 10 points at home against Maryville on December 18. His season-high of six rebounds came on December 4 at home against Southern Miss, while he pulled down five rebounds twice (December 1 at Evansville and December 15 against Southeast Missouri State. Handed out a career-high seven assists on February 5 inside CEFCU Arena against the Redbirds, and had six assists on February 19 at Indiana State and on December 18 at home against Maryville. 

2020-21 (Southern Illinois)


Played in all 26 games as a freshman during the COVID-19 season with one start while averaging 25.5 minutes per game. He scored 160 points (6.2 per game) while making 48 percent (59-of-123) of his shots from the field, 38.1 percent (16-of-42) from long range, and 60.5 percent (26-of-43) from the free throw line. He pulled down 95 rebounds (3.7 per game) while dishing out 46 assists and grabbing 31 steals. He opened his college career with 14 points at home against Southeast Missouri State, one of his six games during the season scoring in double-figures. He scored a dozen points twice during the season, the first at Missouri State on February 10 and again in the season finale loss to Loyola Chicago in the MVC Tournament on March 5. He dished out a season-high five assists in four different games, December 28 against Evansville, January 30 and 31 against Northern Iowa, and against Bradley on March 4 in the opening round of the MVC Tournament.

HIGH SCHOOL (Eau Claire North HS)


Was a two-time first team Class 1A All-State honoree in Wisconsin (2019 and 2020) and was named the All-Northwest boys basketball Player of the Year. The two-time Big Rivers Conference Player of the Year was named to the All-Conference team three times. He averaged 24.7 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game as a senior, along with 86 steals and 21 blocked shots, leading Eau Claire North to the regional championship.He scored a career-high 46 points against Rochester Mayo on February 1, 2020, and had 15 games of 20+ points, including seven of 30 or more points. He had 16 double-figure rebounding games as a senior, and pulled down a season-high 17 points on March 7. He gave out a season-high 10 assists against Rice Lake on January 10 while grabbing 10 steals against Chippewa Falls on January 24. Eau Claire North's all-time leading scorer with 1,832 career points, Banks averaged 23.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 7.1 assists, and 2.6 steals per game as a junior, including a trio of triple-doubles. He had 16 games with 20 or more points as a junior, with six games of 30+ points. He had five games of double-digit rebounds, and seven games with double-figure assists - including a career-high 14 assists on Dec. 10, 2018 against New Richmond. During his breakout sophomore season he averaged 19.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game with 45 steals. He had 10 games of 20 or more points as a sophomore, including a season-high 36 on March 2 against Superior. He added three more games with double-figure rebounding. He opened his high school career with 20 points against LaCrosse Central and current ISU teammate Jordan Davis on December 2, 2016, his first of 10 double-digit scoring games.
